As the name suggests, Axis Long Term Equity Fund requires investors to have a long-term investment horizon so that the fund can mitigate the market volatility to a great extent. This scheme comes with the lock-in period is just three years. However, it is advisable to stay invested for a long period of time in order to earn high returns.

Fund Information and Statistics

Inception/Launch Date Axis Long Term Equity Fund was launched on 29 December 2009. Risk Level Axis Long Term Equity Fund has invested heavily in the stocks of financial services (33.35%) and consumer goods (18.96%), and therefore the risk level of this scheme is slightly lower than other equity funds. However, this fund is exposed to a much higher risk than a debt mutual fund. Redemption As this scheme comes with a lock-in period of three years, investors cannot redeem their investments any time before that. Once the lock-in period has been completed, the redemption requests would be processed in the standard duration. Fund Manager Mr Jinesh Gopani is managing the Axis Long Term Equity Fund since April 2011. Entry/Exit Load As per the SEBI’s order dated 30 June 2009, no fund house is supposed to levy entry loads on investors. Therefore, there is no entry levied on the Axis Long Term Equity Fund. Since this scheme is a tax-saver fund, one cannot exit the scheme within the first three years of investment, and there is no exit load.
