About Essel Large and Midcap Fund
Essel Large and Midcap Fund is an open-ended equity scheme which as the name suggests invests in large and mid-cap stocks. The scheme will invest at least 35% of the capital in equity & equity-related instruments of large cap companies and mid cap companies each. It may also invest up to 30% in debt & money market instruments, up to 50% in Derivatives, and up to 20% in Securities and Lending option. The fund seeks to generate capital appreciation over medium to long-term investment horizon.

i) Inception / Launch date –
Essel Large and Midcap Fund was launched on December 07, 2015, by Essel Finance.
ii) Risk level –
Investment in this fund are moderately high-risk bet and suitable for long-term investment horizon.
iii) Redemption –
The scheme will offer units for purchase and redemption at applicable NAV prices. Under normal circumstances, your fund house will dispatch the redemption proceeds within 10 business days.
iv) Fund Manager –
The fund is managed by Mr Viral Berawala since April 02, 2018. He is a CA & PGPX and comes with 11 years of work experience.
v) Entry / Exit load -
The fund house does not charge any entry load or exit load of 15% of the units are redeemed before 365 days from the date of the allotment. If the rest are redeemed before the 365 days, an exit load of 1% is charged.
Tax benefits of investing in Essel Large and Midcap Fund
A short-term capital gain tax of 15 % is levied is the units are sold within one year from the date of allotment. Long-term capital gains, in excess of Rs 1 lakh, are taxed at 10% if the units are sold after one year. Dividend distribution may be applicable.
