i) Inception / Launch date
Franklin India Equity Savings Fund was launched on 27th August 2018 by Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund.
ii) Risk level
As the scheme invests in different types of securities, it has moderately high risk. The risk may increase or decrease depending on its investment pattern. The investments risks include possible loss of principal.
The redemption proceeds with dispatch of the redemption cheque to the unit holders within the statutory time period of 10 business days after the acceptance of the redemption request at the Official Point of Acceptance of Transaction.
iv) Fund Manager
Mr.Sachin Padwal Desai, Mr.Umesh Sharma and Mr. Lakshmikanth Reddy all since August 2018 are acting as the fund managers.
v) Entry / Exit load
The entry load is NIL for investing in this scheme. The exit load in each year from the date of allotment is NIL upto 10% of the units.1% if redeemed on or before 1 year. If redeemed after 1 year from the date of allotment then the exit load is NIL.
Tax benefits of investing in Franklin India Equity Savings Fund
The following taxes are applicable to income arising from investing in this scheme: 1. Short-term capital gains are taxed at 15% 2. Long-term capital gains in excess of Rs. 1 lakh are taxed at 10% without indexation benefits.
