About Franklin India Prima Fund
Franklin India Prima Fund is an open-ended growth scheme with investment objective to provide medium to long-term capital appreciation as a primary objective and income as a secondary objective. The Scheme is a diversified equity portfolio mainly investing in mid-cap stocks. It identifies companies during the early trend and of their business cycle as the growth potential in such companies is greater.

Fund Information and Statistics of Franklin India Prima Fund
i) Inception / Launch date
The Scheme was launched on 1 December 1993 and provided annualized return of 19.67% since inception. The scheme is benchmarked against NIFTY Midcap 150 TRI.
ii) Risk level
The Scheme’s Riskometer is determined as “Moderately High”. The recommended investment horizon is “5 years or more” for investment in this Scheme. The Scheme has consistently declared a dividend every year for the last 20 years.
iii) Redemption
Minimum redemption amount is Rs 1,000. Redemptions request received up to 3 PM are redeemed on same day’s NAV and redemptions requests received post 3 PM are settled on subsequent business day’s NAV.
iv) Fund Manager
The Scheme is currently being managed by Mr. Hari Shyamsunder (since May 2016) and Mr. R Janakiraman (since Feb 2008). Mr. Shyamsunder is a Bachelor in Engineering from NIT, Tiruchirapalli and holds a PGDM from IIM-B. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst from CFA Institute. Mr. Janakiraman is a B.E and PGDM (Business Management).
v) Entry / Exit load
1% exit load is charged if the units are redeemed within 1 year from the date of allotment of units, no exit load is charged beyond 1 year.
