About Franklin India Ultra-Short Bond Fund
Franklin India Ultra-Short Bond Fund is an open-ended fund investing in debt and money market instruments. The scheme may also invest in Government Securities up to 100%, Securitised Debt up to 50%, foreign securities up to 50%, and derivatives also up to 50% of the capital. It will make investments such that the Macaulay Duration of the portfolio is between 3 months to 6 months. The fund strives to provide regular income over a short-term.

The Franklin India Ultra-Short Bond Fund was launched on December 18, 2007, by Franklin Templeton India.
Investment in this fund are at moderate risk and ideal for short-term parking of funds.
The scheme will offer units for purchase and redemption at NAV prices on every Business Day. Under normal circumstances, your fund house will dispatch the redemption proceeds within 10 business days.
The fund is jointly managed by Mr Sachin Padwal Desai since January 2008 and Mr Pallab Roy since July 2008.
Entry / Exit load
The fund house does not charge any entry load or exit load.
Tax benefits of investing in Franklin India Ultra-Short Bond Fund
- A Short-term capital gain tax will be levied on unitholders as per the income tax slab rate if units are held for less than 36 months.
- A long-term capital gains tax of 20% is applicable with indexation if units are held for more than 36 months.
- Dividend distribution tax will be deducted before the distribution of the dividend.
