HSBC Brazil Fund is a fund of funds scheme which as the name suggests will invest in Brazil-based mutual funds. However, the investment will predominantly be in units/shares of HSBC Global Investment Funds (HGIF) Brazil Equity Fund. The scheme could also invest in money market instruments and other liquid mutual funds. The HSBC Brazil Fund is aimed at providing long-term capital appreciation.

The fund is managed by Ranjith gopal K A since February 2017. He is the dedicated fund manager for overseas investment at HSBC Global Asset Management.

v) Entry / Exit load

The fund house does not charge any entry load or exit load if redeemed after one year from the date of allotment. However, 1% exit load is charged if redeemed before one year.

Tax benefits of investing in HSBC Brazil Fund

The Short-term capital gain tax is applicable as per the income tax slab if sold before 36 months. If the investments are redeemed after 36 months, a long-term capital gain tax of 20% with indexation is levied.
