IDBI Small Cap Fund was launched on 15 June 2017 by IDBI Mutual Fund.
ii) Risk level
Being a small-cap fund, IDBI Small Cap Fund is a moderately high risk bet and suitable for investors who have a long-term investment horizon of more than 5 years.
The minimum amount of redemption allowed is the lowest of Rs. 1000 or 100 units or account balance. Redemption of Units will be done by a repurchase/buyback by the fund house. Under normal circumstances, your fund house will dispatch the redemption proceeds within 10 business days from date of receipt of request.
iv) Fund Manager
Mrs. Uma Venkatraman holds 15 years of experience in the financial services domain, with a special emphasis on the equity segment. She has been managing the IDBI Small Cap Fund since September 2017.
v) Entry / Exit load
The fund house does not charge any entry load for investing in IDBI Small Cap Fund. However, an entry load of 1% is charged for redemption of units within 365 days from the date of allotment.
Tax benefits of investing in IDBI Small Cap Fund
The short-term capital gains made on sale of units within 1 year from the date of allotment will be taxed at the rate of 15%. The long term capital gains, over and above Rs 1 lakh, made on sale of units after 1 year from the date of allotment will be taxable at the rate of 10% (without indexation).
