i) Inception / Launch date
The Scheme was launched by Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund on 24 February 2014. The Scheme is benchmarked against Nifty Midcap 100 TRI.
ii) Risk level
Being an equity fund, the Scheme is suitable for investors looking for medium to long term investment and can anticipate moderately high level of risk.
Normally, redemption proceeds are despatched within 3 business days from acceptance of redemption request.
iv) Fund Manager
Equity component of the scheme is managed by Mr. Akash Singhania (managing since July 2017). Mr. Niket Shah has been appointed Associate Fund Manager since March 2018. Mr. Abhiroop Mukherjee is managing the debt component of the scheme since inception.
v) Entry / Exit load
1% exit load is charged by the fund house if the units are redeemed on or before 15 days from the date of allotment. No exit load is charged in redeemed after 15 days from the date of allotment. No entry load is charged by the fund house on subscriptions.
Tax benefits of investing in Motilal Oswal Midcap 30 Fund
Long-term capital gains (“LTCG”), in excess of Rs 1 lakh, are taxed @ 10% without indexation if units held for more than 12 months. Short term capital gains (“STCG”) taxed @15% if units are held for less than 12 months. Investors do not pay any tax on dividends received but a Dividend Distribution Tax (“DDT”) is deducted by the fund house at source.
