Nippon India Focused Equity Fund is an open-ended multi-cap equity scheme that has a narrowed-down focus on a maximum of 30 stocks. Primarily, the fund aims to generate long-term capital appreciation as it invests only in active and concentrated portfolios of equity and equity-related instruments of certain companies across market capitalisation.

The fund is diversified across stocks from a mix of multi-cap companies and themes. It focuses on good quality companies identified based on both top-down and bottom-up approach; the fund is more than 10 years old. On the down side, the fund does not assure that the investment objective will be achieved. The risk-adjusted returns are lower compared to the category and the risk is higher than the benchmark.

i) Inception/Launch Date Nippon India Focused Equity Fund was rolled out on 26 December 2006.

ii) Risk Level The fund comes with a moderately high risk profile as it primarily invests in equity and equity-related instruments. The fund also invests in debt, money market securities, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), and Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs).

iii) Redemption No lock-in period is applicable to the investments made to Nippon India Focused Equity Fund. An exit load may however apply if you redeem units within the said period.

iv) Fund Manager Mr Vinay Sharma is the current Fund Manager for Nippon India Focused Equity Fund.

v) Entry/Exit Load No entry load is charged when you purchase fund units. However, an exit load of 1% is charged if you redeem the units before completing 12 months from the date of allotment. No exit load is charged if you redeem after completing 12 months.
