The Fund is a diversified equity scheme with an investment objective to generate long-term capital growth from an actively managed portfolio primarily of equity and equity related securities. The Scheme’s performance is benchmarked against Nifty 500. The Scheme offers only Growth Option.
Pros & Cons of Parag Parikh Long Term Equity Fund
Among schemes which provide geographical diversifications with strict adherence to conviction-based stock selection, the Scheme is placed reasonably well. The Fund Managers are sitting on circa 25% cash and arbitrage investments, which indicates they are willing to wait for valuations to turn reasonably attractive. The Scheme is beaten its benchmark in past 3 and 5 year period horizon.
Fund Information & Statistics of Parag Parikh Long Term Equity Fund
i) Inception / Launch date
Parag Parikh Long Term Equity Fund was previously known as Parag Parikh Long Term Value Fund. The name change was effective from 16 February 2018.
ii) Risk level
The Scheme’s Riskometer is “Moderately High” and only suitable for investors who are looking for capital growth in long term (for a minimum of 5 year horizon).
iii) Redemption
Units can be redeemed i.e. sold back to the Mutual Fund House or switched out i.e. to another scheme of the Mutual Fund House or options offered within the Scheme. Under normal circumstances, redemption cheques are dispatched within 10 business days from the date of acceptance of the redemption request.
iv) Fund Manager
The domestic component of the scheme is managed by Mr. Rajeev Thakkar, and Mr. Raunak Onkar manages the foreign investment portion. Mr. Raj Mehta is responsible for the fixed income investment portion.
v) Entry / Exit load
2% exit load is charged if investment in redeemed on or before 365 days from the date of allotment of units, 1% if the investment is redeemed after 365 days but on or before 730 days from the allotment of units. No exit load is charged if redeemed after 730 days. Entry load is not applicable.
About PPFAS Mutual Fund
PPFAS Mutual Fund was set-up on 10 October 2012 and currently five schemes are being managed by the fund house. Mr. Neil Parag Parikh is the MD & CEO of the fund house. The fund house is promoted by Parag Parikh Financial Advisory Services Pvt Ltd. The fund house has launched only one equity scheme to fully concentrate on wealth creation.
