About Reliance Multi Cap Fund
Reliance Multi Cap Fund as the name suggests, invests in equity and equity-related securities across the large cap, mid cap, and small cap companies. The scheme seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation and consistent returns. To accomplish the latter, the fund may also invest in debt and money market instruments. A maximum of 25% may be invested in such instruments including securitised debts.

i) Inception/ Launch date
The Reliance Multi Cap Fund was launched on March 28, 2005, by Reliance Mutual Funds.
ii) Risk level
Reliance Multi Cap Fund is a moderately high-risk bet and suitable for investors who want reasonable long-term capital appreciation by exposing their investments to both aggressive and defensive instruments.
iii) Redemption
Redemption of Units will be done at applicable NAV prices on every business day. Under normal circumstances, your fund house will dispatch the redemption proceeds within 3-4 business days.
iv) Fund Manager
Reliance Multi Cap Fund is jointly managed by Sailesh Raj Bhan since inception and Jahnvee Shah since April 2011.
v) Entry / Exit load
The fund house does not charge any entry load or exit load if units are redeemed after one year from the date of allotment. However, 1 % exit load is charged if redeemed within one year.
Tax benefits of investing in Reliance Multi Cap Fund
The Short-term capital gain tax of 15% is levied if sold before one year from the date of allotment. Long-term capital gains, in excess of Rs 1 Lakh, will be taxed at 10% without indexation if redeemed after one year.
About Reliance Mutual Funds
Reliance Mutual Funds came into existence on June 30, 1995, as Reliance Capital Mutual Fund. However, it got its current name in 2004 when the term capital was dropped from the name. It has Average Assets Under Management (AAUM) of Rs 2,44,843.44 Crores and is present in 160 cities. It aims to ensure reasonable returns on unitholders’ savings.
