Reliance Pharma Fund was launched on 5th June 2004 by Reliance Mutual Fund.

ii) Risk level

Being a sector oriented fund, the risk associated is quite high. The returns may vary if there is volatility in the pharma sector.

iii) Redemption

Reliance Pharma Fund investors or unit holders can redeem their fund with 10 working days from the day of receiving the redemption request. SEBI requires the fund provider to pay a penal rate of interest of 15% per annum if the redemption is not processed within the given frame of time.

iv) Fund Manager

Mr.Shailesh Bhan is the fund manager of Reliance Pharma Fund since inception.

v) Entry / Exit load

The entry load for investing in Reliance Pharma is not applicable. Whereas 1% exit load is applicable if redeemed before completion of 1 year or 365 days. It is NIL if redeemed after completion of 1 year from the date of allotment of the fund.

Tax benefits of investing in Reliance Pharma Fund

A short-term capital gain tax of 15% is applicable if sold within a year from the date of allotment, whereas long-term capital gains, in excess of Rs 1 lakh, will be taxed at 10% if sold after one year. A dividend distribution tax of 10% is also levied on dividends.
