As this fund invests mostly in large-cap stocks (77.29%), the fund’s performance is not impacted much by the market performance as compared to small and mid-cap equity mutual funds. Also, the returns offered by this fund seldom beat the performance of the benchmark. ## Fund Information and Statistics i) Inception/Launch Date NIPPON INDIA LARGE CAP FUND was launched on 8 August 2007. ii) Risk level As mentioned earlier, NIPPON INDIA LARGE CAP FUND is less risky when compared to mid-cap and small-cap funds. However, these funds are riskier than debt mutual funds as they have exposure to equity shares. The fund has invested the most in the shares of ITC Limited (6.06%) and ICICI Bank (5.97%). iii) Redemption This is an open-ended scheme, and therefore, you can place redemption requests anytime you want. It will be processed in the standard duration. However, investors are advised to stay invested as long as possible to earn excellent returns. iv) Fund Manager Mr Sailesh Raj Bhan is the current fund manager of NIPPON INDIA LARGE CAP FUND. v) Entry/Exit Load As per the SEBI’s order dated 30 June 2009, no fund house is supposed to levy entry loads on investors. Therefore, there is no entry levied on the NIPPON INDIA LARGE CAP FUND. However, if you place redemption requests within the first seven days, then an exit load of 1% would be applied.
