SBI Magnum Equity ESG Fund is an open-ended equity scheme that only invests in companies having Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria. The companies are ranked based on parameters from governance, social and environmental aspects of the company’s management. The scheme invests 80-100% in equity and equity-related instruments based on ESG criteria and 0-20% in other equities and/or debt and money market instruments.

i) Inception/Launch Date

SBI Magnum Equity ESG Fund was launched on 1 January 1991.

ii) Risk Level

The scheme includes a high risk profile since it only invests in companies following the ESG theme.

iii) Redemption

There is no lock-in period imposed for the principal invested in the scheme making it convenient for you to redeem the units at any preferred time. However, an exit load may be charged if you redeem within a year from the date of allotment.

iv) Fund Manager

Mr Ruchit Mehta has been working as the Fund Manager for the scheme since May 2018.

v) Entry/Exit Load

No entry load is charged as per the SEBI’s norm. However, an exit load of 1% may be charged if you redeem/switch-out from the fund within one year from the date of allotment. After completing one year, no exit load is chargeable.

SBI Mutual Fund is one of the oldest fund houses in India that was set up on 29 June 1987. The fund house registered itself with SEBI on 23 December 1993. The sponsor for the fund house is State Bank of India and the trustee company is SBI Mutual Fund Trustee Company Private Limited.
