Union Small Cap Fund is an open-ended fund which invests in equity and equity-related securities of small cap companies. The fund strives to deliver capital appreciation over a long-term investment horizon. The fund will invest at least 80% of the capital in equity & equity related instrument, whereas the rest could be invested in debt & money market instrument.

i) Inception/ Launch date

Union Small Cap Fund was launched on June 10, 2014, by Union Mutual Funds.

ii) Risk level

Investment in the Union Small Cap fund has moderately-high risk and ideal for investors with long-term investment horizon.

iii) Redemption

Redemption of Units will be done at applicable NAV prices on every business day. Under normal circumstances, your fund house will dispatch the redemption proceeds within 10 business days.

iv) Fund Manager

The fund is jointly managed by Mr Hardick Bora since October 05, 2016 and Vinay Paharia since April 02, 2018.

v) Entry / Exit load

The fund house does not charge entry load or exit load if units are redeemed after 1 year. However, 1% exit load is charged if redeemed within one year from the date of allotment.

Tax benefits of investing in Union Small Cap Fund

The Short-term capital gain tax of 15% is levied if sold before one year from the date of allotment. Long-term capital gains, in excess of Rs 1 Lakh, will be taxed at 10% without indexation if redeemed after one year.
