Govt. Sets Rules to Check On-Ground GST Implementation Issues

Cabinet Secretary P K Sinha has issued a fresh directive to all Central ministries asking them to keep a check on on-ground GST implementation. The directive asks the ministries to keep an eye out for price hikes, shortage of commodities, and software glitches and trader complaints. The ministers also have to file weekly reports by Sunday. The Cabinet has decided to create a grassroots mechanism to report issues faced during the transition period.
