Franklin India Equity Hybrid Fund is an open-ended scheme which invests in equities and fixed income instruments. Earlier known as the Franklin India Balanced Fund, the scheme strives to deliver long-term capital appreciation along with current income. It is suitable for investors with an investment horizon of over five years.

i) Inception / Launch date
Franklin India Equity Hybrid Fund was launched on December 10, 1999, by Franklin Templeton Investments.
ii) Risk level
The scheme is a moderately high-risk bet considering it has major exposure to equities. It is suitable for long-term investors with an above-average risk appetite.
Redemption of Units will be done at applicable NAV prices on every business day. Under normal circumstances, your fund house will dispatch the redemption proceeds within 10 business days.
iv) Fund Manager
Franklin India Equity Hybrid Fund is jointly managed by Sachin Padwal Desai (August 2006), Umesh Sharma (July 2010), Lakshmikanth Reddy (May 2016), and Srikesh Nair (2018).
v) Entry / Exit load
The fund house does not charge any entry load or exit load if ten percent of the investment is redeemed within a year from the date of allotment. If the rest of the investment is redeemed within a year, 1% exit load is applicable. There is no exit load if redeemed after one year.
Tax benefits of investing in Franklin India Equity Hybrid Fund
The Short-term capital gain tax of 15% is levied if sold before one year from the date of allotment. Long-term capital gains, in excess of Rs 1 Lakh, are taxed at 10% without indexation if redeemed after one year. 10% tax will be deducted at source for dividends.
