About this plan
It is a provision introduced under the Income Tax Act in India, allowing taxpayers to correct any mistakes or omissions in their previously filed ITR. The ITR-U helps individuals rectify errors, such as missing income, wrong claims, or incorrect details, in order to ensure that their returns are accurate and in compliance with tax laws. Belated returns can also be filed under this plan if you have not filed for previous years. Note: Returns can only be filed if there is a tax liability due. The default tax regime established by the Income Tax Department for that particular financial year is the standard tax framework that applies to taxpayers.
