About Franklin India Liquid Fund
The Scheme is an open-ended liquid fund to provide investors with current income along with high liquidity. Liquid funds are debt mutual schemes that invest money in very short-term market instruments such as T-Bills, CBLO and Government Securities.

The Scheme invests in a judicious mix of short term debt and money market instruments and thus offers current income with high level of liquidity 2. The Scheme returns have consistently beaten the benchmark in 3 year, 5 year and 10 year horizon. The Scheme has provided CAGR annualized return of 7.84% since inception.
Fund Information and Statistics of Franklin India Liquid Fund
i) Inception / Launch date
The Scheme was launched by Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund on 29 April 1998. The Scheme was earlier known as Franklin India Treasury Management Account and change of name was effective from 4 June 2018.
ii) Risk level
As the scheme invests in near cash equivalents, it is a low risk proposition and suitable for investment horizon of “1 day or more”. It acts as alternative to savings/current bank account balances and suitable for parking short term funds for reasonable return.
iii) Redemption
The Scheme is open for repurchase/redemptions on all business days by fund house. Under normal circumstances, redemption proceeds are despatched within 10 business days from the date of redemption receipt.
iv) Fund Manager
The current fund managers of the Scheme are Mr. Pallab Roy and Mr. Sachin Desai.
v) Entry / Exit load
There is no entry load or exit load charged by the fund house for subscriptions and redemptions, respectively.
Tax benefits of investing in Franklin India Liquid Fund
Long Term Capital Gains (“LTCG”), are taxed at the rate of 20% after indexation (if held for 36 months or more). Short term gains are added to income and subject to short term capital gain tax as per income tax slab under the Act. Thus, holding for more than 3 years recommended availing tax benefits.
