Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund was launched on 13th January, 2006 by Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund.

The scheme is open for redemption on all business days. The redemption proceeds will be dispatched to the unit holders within regulatory time limit of 10 working or business days from the date of receipt of redemption request.

Mr.Janakiraman Rengaraju, Mr.Hari Shyamsundar and Srikesh Karunakaran Nair are the fund managers of Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund.
v) Entry / Exit load
The entry load for investing is not applicable but 1% of exit load is applicable if the units are redeemed within one year or 12 months of allotment.
Tax benefits of investing in Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund
A short-term capital gain tax of 15% is applicable if sold within a year from the date of allotment, whereas long-term capital gains, in excess of Rs 1 lakh, will be taxed at 10% if sold after one year. A dividend distribution tax of 10% is also levied on dividends.
