Inception/ Launch date
The Sundaram Banking and PSU Debt Fund was launched on 30 December 2004 by Sundaram Mutual Fund.
The scheme has a moderately low level of risk. The Fund or the Asset management Company does not guarantee the return or the capital either. Due to the change in the prevailing rates of interest, it is likely to affect the value of the scheme’s holding and the value of the scheme’s units.
The redemption of units can be done any business days at NAV based prices. The redemption proceeds shall be dispatched to the unit holders within 10 business days from the date of receipt of the redemption request.
Mr.Dwijendra Srivastava since July 2010 and Mr.Siddharth Chaudhary since June 2012 are the fund managers of Sundaram Banking and PSU Debt Fund.

The entry load and the exit load is NIL for this scheme.
Tax benefits of investing in Sundaram banking and PSU Debt Fund
If the units of this scheme are redeemed within 3 years, it will be treated as short-term capital gains and are added to the income of the investor and taxed as per the income slab. If held for more than 3 years, the returns will be treated as long –term capital gains and taxed at 20% with indexation benefit.
