The Tata Income Fund was launched on May 02, 1997, by Tata Mutual Funds.
ii) Risk level
Tata Income fund is a moderate risk bet and suitable for investors with a mid to long term time investment horizon.
The units can be redeemed on any business day based on the NAV prices. Under normal circumstances, your fund house will dispatch the redemption proceeds within 10 business days.
iv) Fund Manager
The fund is managed by Akhil Mittal since June 2014. He has previously worked with Rallis India Ltd, Edelweiss Securities Ltd, and Canara Robeco AMC.
v) Entry / Exit load
The fund house does not charge any entry load or exit load if redeemed after one year. However, 1% exit load is charged if redeemed within 365 days of allotment.
Tax benefits of investing in Tata Income Fund
The Short-term capital gain tax will be levied on unit holders as per the income tax slab rate if units are held for less than 36 months. A long-term capital gains tax of 20% is applicable with indexation if units are held for more than 36 months. Dividend distribution tax will be deducted before distribution of the dividend.
