Fund Information and Statistics of UTI Gold ETF
i) Inception / Launch date
UTI Gold ETF was launched on 12 March 2007 by UTI Mutual Fund.
ii) Risk level
Being an exchange-traded fund, UTI Gold ETF is a moderately high risk bet and suitable for investors who have a medium-term investment horizon of more than 3 years.
iii) Redemption
The units of the scheme can be sold in demat form on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) or on any other recognised stock exchange at the real time NAVs prevailing on the said date. In other cases, the investors may redeem the units of the scheme directly with the fund house at NAV based prices. Under normal conditions, your fund house will dispatch the redemption proceeds within 5 business days from date of receipt of request.
iv) Fund Manager
Mr. Rajeev Gupta has been handling multiple functions of the fund house like investment monitoring, corporate actions and exercise of voting rights. He has been managing the UTI Gold ETF since July 2018.
v) Entry / Exit load
The fund house does not charge any entry load and exit load for investing in UTI Gold ETF.
Tax benefits of investing in UTI Gold ETF
The short-term capital gains made on sale of units within 3 years from the date of allotment will be taxed at the income tax slab rates of the investor. The long term capital gains made on sale of units after 3 years from the date of allotment will be taxable at the rate of 20% (with benefit of indexation).
