i) Inception / Launch date

DSP Small Cap Fund was launched on 14 June 2007 by DSP Mutual Fund.

ii) Risk level

Being a small-cap fund, the scheme carries a moderately high risk. The small cap stocks are extremely volatile and risky. Investors with an aggressive risk appetite is only recommended for equity mutual fund investment.

iii) Redemption

The redemption of the units of the unit holders are 10 business days from the date of receipt of request for redemption.

iv) Fund Manager

Mr.Vinit Sambre is managing the fund since 2010 as a Co-Fund Manager, Mr.Resham Jain is managing the fund of equity portion since 2018 as a Co-Fund Manager and Mr. Jay Kothari is managing the fund as Co-Fund Manager since 2013.

v) Entry / Exit load

The entry load for investing is not applicable for this scheme. The exit load is 1% if units are redeemed in excess of 10% of the units purchased within 12 months from the date of allotment.

Tax benefits of investing in DSP Small Cap

Long Term Capital Gains (“LTCG”), in excess of Rs 1 lakh, are taxed @ 10% without indexation if units are held for more than 12 months. Short term capital gains (“STCG”) are taxed @ 15% if units are held for less than 12 months. Investors do not pay any tax on dividends received but a Dividend Distribution Tax (“DDT”) is deducted by the fund house at source.
