About Edelweiss Large Cap Fund
The Scheme is an open-ended equity scheme predominantly investing in large cap stocks with an investment objective to seek to generate long-term capital growth from a portfolio predominantly consisting equity and equity related instruments of the 100 largest entity by market capitalisation listed.

Edelweiss Large Cap Fund offers following features:
1. Stocks are selected on the basis of rigorous research process with stringent quality checks.
2. The Scheme seeks to invest in stocks that are available at reasonable prices (GARP). Large cap stocks are known to be resilient to short-term market turbulence. 3. The Scheme has outperformed the benchmark in 5 year investment horizon however underperformed in 1 year and 3 year period. The Scheme has provided annualized return of 13.59% since inception which is slightly higher than the benchmark returns.
Fund Information and Statistics of Edelweiss Large Cap Fund
i) Inception / Launch date
The Scheme was launched by Edelweiss Mutual Fund on 20 May 2009 and benchmarked against Nifty 50 TR Index. The Scheme was formerly known as Edelweiss Large Cap Advantage Fund.
ii) Risk level
The Scheme is moderately high risky and suitable for investors looking for reasonable returns over five years or more investment horizon. The Scheme is also suitable for investors looking to diversify their equity portfolio across various sectors.
The Scheme offers units for purchase and redemption at NAV based prices on all business days. Redemption proceeds are normally despatched within 10 business days from the date of the redemption request.
iv) Fund Manager
The Scheme is currently being managed by Mr Bharat Lahoti who is managing the scheme since May 2017. He has total experience of 11 years in financial market space.
v) Entry / Exit load
1% of exit load is charged by the fund house if the units are redeemed/switched-out on or before 365 days from the date of allotment. No exit load is charged for redemptions after 365 days of allotment. No entry load is charged by the fund house on subscriptions.
Tax benefits of investing in Edelweiss Large Cap Fund
Long Term Capital Gains (“LTCG”), in excess of Rs 1 lakh, are taxed @ 10% without indexation if units held for more than 12 months. Short term capital gains (“STCG”) taxed @15% if units are held for less than 12 months. Investors do not pay any tax on dividends received but a Dividend Distribution Tax (“DDT”) is deducted by the fund house at source.
