Tax benefits of investing in HDFC Income Fund

The Dividend Distribution Tax (DDT) is payable by the scheme but are liable for dividend distribution tax 29.12% with surcharge and cess. Units held for 36 months or less are subject to short-term capital gain tax, as per relevant income tax slab of the investor. Units held for more than 36 months are subject to long-term capital gain tax at 20% with indexation.
