About HDFC Retirement Savings Fund -Hybrid - Debt Plan - Direct Plan - Growth
This is a tax-saving as well as a retirement fund and provides long-term capital appreciation by investing in a hybrid portfolio, i.e. a mix of equity and debt instruments. As per the latest norm, the fund scheme locks up the principal invested until you complete 60 years of age or for five years to provide tax-saving facility and better returns.

The exit load is zero if you exit from the fund after completing the lock-in period.
Fund Information and Statistics
i) Inception/Launch Date
The fund was rolled out on 25 February 2016.
ii) Risk Level
The fund comes with a moderately high risk profile since the fund invests in equity and equity-related instruments.
iii) Redemption
For investments made until 1 June 2018, units cannot be redeemed/switched out/assigned/transferred/pledged until they complete five years from the date of allotment. For fresh investments made after 1 June 2018, units cannot be redeemed/switched out/assigned/transferred/pledged until they complete five years from the date of allotment or until the investor completes 60 years of age, whichever is earlier.
iv) Fund Manager
Since this is a hybrid fund, Mr Chirag Setalvad manages the equity investments and Mr Shobhit Mehrotra manages the debt investments. In addition, Mr Chirag Dagli manages the overseas investments.
v) Entry/Exit Load
No entry load is chargeable upon purchase of fund units. Similarly, no exit load is chargeable if you exit from the fund after completing the lock-in period.
