About HDFC Small Cap Fund
The current investment objective of the Fund is to provide long-term capital appreciation and income by investing predominantly in Small-Cap companies. The Scheme is benchmarked against IISL NIFTY Smallcap 100 TR INR. The AUM of the Scheme is approximately 5,320 Crore and is an open-ended equity scheme. The minimum initial purchase is Rs 5,000 (multiples of Re 1 thereafter) and subsequent additional purchases are accepted in Rs 1,000 (multiples of Re 1 thereafter).

i) Inception / Launch date
HDFC Small Cap Fund was initially launched on 3 April 2008 and was known as Morgan Stanley A.C.E Fund investing across market caps. The Fund was renamed as HDFC Small and Mid-Cap Fund post acquisition of Morgan Stanley’s schemes in 2014 by HDFC. In September 2016, the Fund’s investment strategy underwent yet another change and was renamed as HDFC Small Cap Fund..

The Riskometer of the Scheme is “Moderately High Risk” and suitable for investors who are looking for capital growth over long-term.
iii) Redemption
Redemption proceeds are generally dispatched within 10 business days from the date of receipt of request. Exit load is charged if the redemptions are requested within 12 months of purchase.
iv) Fund Manager

v) Entry / Exit load
