The ICICI Prudential Equity Arbitrage Fund is an open-ended equity scheme. It seeks to provide a short-term income generation solution by aiming to generate low-volatility returns. The scheme achieves this objective by using arbitrage and other derivative strategies in the equity markets and also by investing in a short-term debt portfolio.

i) Inception / Launch date
The scheme was launched on 30 December 2006 by ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund.
ii) Risk level
According to the investment objective and asset allocation of the scheme, it has a moderate risk-level associated with it.
The minimum redemption amount is Rs. 500. Further, the redemption proceeds are dispatched within 10 business days of the receipt of a valid redemption request.
iv) Fund Manager
The Fund Managers of the ICICI Prudential Equity Arbitrage Fund are: 1. For the Equity portion – Mr. Kayzad Eghlim and Mr. Dharmesh Kakkad 2. For the Debt portion – Mr. Manish Banthia
v) Entry / Exit load
There is no entry load in this scheme. The exit load structure is as follows: 1. If the units are redeemed after the completion of 1 month from the date of allotment of the said units, then the exit load = Nil 2. If the units are redeemed within the period of 1 month from the date of allotment of the said units, then the exit load = 0.25% of the applicable NAV
Tax benefits of investing in ICICI Prudential Equity Arbitrage Fund
The following taxes are applicable to income arising from investing in this scheme: 1. STCG tax (units are held for a period of less than 12 months) of 15 percent on redemption of units. 2. LTCG tax (units are held for a period of more than 12 months) component is taxed at 10 percent without indexation benefits on the redemption of units.
