Fund Information and Statistics of ICICI Prudential Midcap Fund
i) Inception / Launch date
The scheme was launched on 28 October 2004 by ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund.
ii) Risk level
The scheme is suitable for investors seeking long-term wealth creation and invests in diversified midcap companies. It has a moderately-high risk level.
The minimum amount for the redemption of units is Rs. 500 or all units where the amount is below Rs.500. Further, the Mutual Fund will dispatch the redemption proceeds within 10 business days of the receipt of a valid redemption request at the official points of acceptance of CAMS or branches of the AMC.
iv) Fund Manager
Mr. Mrinal Singh (since May 2011) and Mr. Mittul Kalawadia (since April 2016) are the Fund Managers of ICICI Prudential Midcap Fund.
v) Entry / Exit load
There is no entry load in this scheme. The exit load structure is as follows: 1. If the units are redeemed one year after being allotted or switched in, then the exit load is Zero. 2. If the units are redeemed within one year of being allotted or switched in, then the exit load is 1% of the NAV.
Tax benefits of investing in ICICI Prudential Midcap Fund
The following taxes are applicable to income arising from investing in this scheme: 1. STCG tax (units are held for a period of less than 12 months) of 15 percent on redemption of units. 2. Long term capital gains, in excess of Rs 1 lakh, (units are held for a period of more than 12 months) component is taxed at 10 percent without indexation benefits on the redemption of units.
