Inception/ Launch Date

The ICICI Prudential Medium Term Bond was launched on 15 September 2004 by ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund.

With fluctuation in the market values of the underlying investment of the scheme the redemption value and the price of the units may go up and down. The returns on investments are low. The investment in this fund is subject to credit risk, interest rate risk and liquidity risk including the loss of principal.


The dispatch of redemption proceeds within 10 business days from the date of receipt of the redemption request by the unit holder.

Fund Manager

Mr. Manish Banthia since November 2016 and Mr.Shadab Rizvi since June 2017 are the fund managers of ICICI Prudential Medium Term Bond Fund.

Entry/ Exit Load

The exit load for this scheme is NIL. The exit load of 1% will be charged for unit’s excess of 10% of the investment, if redeemed within 1 year from the date of allotment of the units.

Tax benefits of investing in ICICI Prudential Medium Term Bond

If the units of this scheme are held for less than 3 years, it will be treated as short-term capital gains and are taxed as per investor’s income slab. If held for more than 3 years, the returns will be treated as long-term capital gains and taxed at 20% with indexation benefit.
