About Mirae Asset India Equity Fund
The investment objective of the scheme is to generate long term capital appreciation by capitalizing on potential investment opportunities through predominantly investing in equities, equity related securities. The Scheme is available under Regular and Direct Plan with a common portfolio and separate NAVs. Each of the Plan is available under two options – Dividend and Growth Plan. The Scheme is benchmarked against S&P BSE 200.

In the past 3 and 5-year periods, the scheme has given 13.9% and 21.9% returns, while its benchmark, S&P BSE200 TRI, has given 12.8% and 16.7% returns during the same periods. The portfolio is well diversified and balanced with no sector, stock, theme or style being disproportionate.
Fund Information and Statistics of Mirae Asset India Equity Fund
i) Inception / Launch date
Mirae Asset India Equity Fund (erstwhile Mirae Asset India Opportunities Fund) was launched on 4 April 2008.
ii) Risk level
The scheme endeavors to identify sectors that are likely to do well over the medium term and takes concentrated exposures to the same. There is no restriction on which type of sectors the scheme can take exposure and the portfolio will be diversified at the stock level across market capitalization.
iii) Redemption
There are no minimum amount/units prescribed for redemptions. Redemption request can be sent to Fund house and proceeds are remitted within 10 business days.
iv) Fund Manager
The Fund is currently being managed by Mr. Neelesh Surana and Mr. Harshad Borawake. Mr. Surana is B.E. (Mechanical) & MBA (Finance) comes with a vast experience of 12 years and is responsible for the overall Fund Management of the Equity function. Mr Borawake is the Head - Research at Mirae Asset Global Investments (India). Mr. Borawake is MBA (Finance) & B.E. (Polymers).
v) Entry / Exit load
1% exit load is charged if the units are redeemed within 1 year from the date of allotment of units, no exit load is charged beyond 1 year.
