The Illa Pattalu is a housing scheme launched by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Under this scheme, the Andhra Pradesh Government will provide houses for the poorest of the poor. It is also known as YSR Avaas Yojana, YSR Housing Scheme, and Pedalaku Illu Pattaalu. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy announced this scheme to benefit the people of the state by providing houses to those who dream of having their own house.
At the time of the launch of this scheme, the Chief Minister stated that the scheme would also help to strengthen the state economy by creating lakhs of job opportunities in the construction sector. He also stated that this scheme would provide 30,75,755 house sites and 28.3 lakh houses to the beneficiaries of this scheme. This scheme is a 100% funded scheme by the Andhra Pradesh government.
The Illa Pattalu scheme beneficiaries will get a proper house with basic amenities. The government provides options to the beneficiaries under this scheme. The beneficiaries can get their houses constructed as per the model unit or construct their own house with payment from the government. The model house will have a living room, bedroom, veranda, kitchen, synthetic water tank, two tube lights, two fans and two LED lights free of cost.
The eligibility criteria for Illa Pattalu are as follows:
The Grama Volunteers will come and take the details of the eligible applicants. The government has issued guidelines under which the Grama Sachivalayam employees will appoint the Grama Volunteers. The Grama Volunteers will actively collect the data of the eligible applicants through the door to door campaigning.
The applicants should submit all the required documents and certificates to the Grama Volunteer assigned to their region, who will fill the manual application form and attest the photographs. The applications collected and prepared by the Grama Volunteers are verified by the concerned persons in Grama Sachivalayam. The Grama Sachivalayam will sort out the applications that meet the above eligibility criteria.
After verifying all the particulars, the Grama Sachivalayam will sort out the qualified, eligible applicants and make the final list available in the Grama Sachivalayam. The implementing agency of the Illa Pattalu Scheme at the state or district level is the local Gram Panchayat office.
