On 17/07/24, the Maharashtra Chief Minister announced the launch of the ‘Ladla Bhai Yojana’, also known as ‘Maza Ladka Bhau Yojana’, which provides financial assistance for youth of the state who have passed 12th grade or diploma courses or are graduates. What is the Ladla Bhai Yojana in Maharashtra?

The Maharashtra government introduced the Ladla Bhai Yojana Maharashtra to address unemployment concerns across the state and promote the skill development of youths. The government stated that this scheme would be a solution to the state’s unemployment issue. 

Recently, the Maharashtra government launched the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, which aims to make women self-reliant by providing them financial support. Similarly, the government has now launched the Ladla Bhai Yojana Maharashtra to make the youth self-reliant by providing them financial assistance according to their educational qualification. 

Objectives of Ladla Bhai Yojana

• To address the concerns of unemployment by promoting skill development.
• To provide financial assistance every month to help students and youths pursue higher studies and get jobs.
• To make youths more self-reliable and independent.

Ladla Bhai Yojana Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be permanent residents of Maharashtra state.
• Applicants must have passed 12th grade, obtained a diploma, or a graduate degree.
• Applicants must have a bank account.
• Youths whose family members are government employees or members of Parliament or pay income tax are not eligible.

Ladla Bhai Yojana Maharashtra Terms and Conditions

The Maharashtra government has clarified that the Ladla Bhai Yojana Maharashtra applies to all eligible youth, irrespective of gender. Applicants must not be availing benefits from similar schemes such as the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. Under this initiative:

• 12th pass youth will receive Rs. 6,000/month
• Diploma holders will get Rs. 8,000/month
• Graduates will receive Rs. 10,000/month

These amounts will be credited directly to the beneficiary’s bank account through DBT. The online portal is expected to be launched soon, through which applicants can apply and track their application status.

How to Apply for the Ladla Bhai Yojana Online?

The eligible applicants can apply online to receive the amount every month under Ladla Bhai Yojana. The online portal for Ladla Bhai Yojana will be launched soon by the Maharashtra government. Once the portal is launched, youths can apply by following the below process:

• Click on ‘Apply Now’ on the official Ladla Bhai Yojana website (to be launched soon).
• Fill out the application with all the required details.
• Upload documents and click ‘Submit’.

• Youths who have passed 12th grade, diploma or graduation will receive Rs.6,000, Rs.8,000 or Rs.10,000 per month.
• Young job seekers will get factory apprenticeships and a stipend from the Maharashtra state government during their on-the-job training in the industry.
• The financial assistance will be directly transferred to the bank account of the eligible beneficiaries.
• The financial assistance received under the scheme will help the state’s youth to complete their further studies and encourage them to complete graduation.
• The level of education in the state will increase as the youths will get Rs.10,000 per month when they complete graduation, which will help them get good jobs and decrease the unemployment rate.
• It is expected to benefit around 1 million students and unemployed youth in the state.
