The State Government of Jharkhand launched the Mukhya Mantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojna (MMKAY) to improve the financial situation of the farmers. The MMKAY is an ambitious scheme for supporting the farmers financially and providing them with timely investment assistance before the Kharif season.

The primary objective of the MMKAY scheme is the reduction of the dependency of the farmers on non-institutional private lenders/loans. Under this yojana, the Jharkhand State targets around 22.76 lakh farmers for the financial year 2019-20 in a planned manner covering a Kharif cropped area of around 45 lakh acres.

Mukhya Mantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana Eligibility Criteria

The following farmers are eligible for obtaining benefits under the MMKAY:

  • All the marginal and small farmers of the state of Jharkhand are eligible for this yojana.
  • The farmers must have cultivable land up to a maximum of 5 acres.
  • Only the poor and small farmers can avail the benefits of this yojana.
  • The farmers must be permanent residents of Jharkhand.

Benefits Under MMKAY
