Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana Gujarat: Scholarship Benefits, Eligibility, Courses

The Mukhymantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) is a scholarship scheme provided to the economically weaker section students in Gujarat. All eligible students can apply for the MYSY scholarship to pursue education in diploma courses, pharmacy courses, engineering, medical courses, etc.

Objective of MYSY

The primary objective of the MYSY scholarship is to financially help students who cannot finance their higher education due to low family income. The scholarship provided under the MYSY helps students complete their higher education without any problem.

MYSY eligibility

• Students should have passed class X from a recognised board in Gujarat state with a minimum of 80% in the board examination to get a scholarship in Diploma admissions.
• Students should have passed class XII science or general stream from a recognised board in Gujarat state with a minimum of 80% in the board examination to get a scholarship in Bachelor’s degree programmes.
• Students should have obtained a minimum of 65% in the Diploma level examination from a recognised university in Gujarat state to get a scholarship in Degree programmes after completing Diploma courses. 
• The parents’ annual income of the students should be less than Rs.6,00,000 per annum.

For self-finance courses, 50% of the annual tuition fee is provided as a scholarship.

MYSY application Process

• Visit the MYSY official website.
• Click the ‘Login/Register for 2023’ link.
• Select the ‘Fresh Application’ option.
• Register on the portal by filling the required details, such as board, stream, university, passing year, enrollment number, admission year, mobile number, etc.
• Click ‘Get Password’ to complete the registration.
• Enter all the required details in the MYSY registration form, attach all the documents and click ‘Submit’.

• Certificate from the institute for new students
• Bank account proof
• 10th and 12th standard mark sheet
• Admission letter and fee receipt
• Affidavit on Rs.20 non-judicial stamp paper
• Hostel admission letter and fee receipt, if applicable
• Renewal certificate from the institute, if applicable

Process to check MYSY scholarship status

Applicants who have applied for the MYSY scholarship can check the status of the scholarship application by following the below process: 

• Visit the MYSY official website.
• Click on the ‘Student Status’ option.
• Enter the details such as board, stream, seat number, passing year and password, and click the ‘Get Students Details’ button.
• The information about the scholarship scheme will be displayed on the screen.

The scholarship provided under MYSY will help students complete their higher studies. The financial assistance provided under the MYSY scheme will be distributed through bank transfer directly to the beneficiary's bank account. 

Students must apply renewal application every year to obtain the scholarship amount for the 2nd and subsequent years of the course. The application process for the current year is starting from 11 September 2023. The MYSY official website provides the start and end date of the application.
