The Scheme is an open-ended equity scheme investing in both large cap and mid cap stocks. The investment objective of the Scheme is to generate capital appreciation by investing in a diversified portfolio of large and mid-cap stocks.

Pros & Cons of Canara Robeco Emerging Equities Fund

The scheme is a good option especially for the long-term investments. The scheme’s distinctive advantage, which invests equally in large and mid-sized companies, is its consistency in performance even in bear cycles of markets. In the past three-year and five-year periods, the scheme has given 13% and 30% returns while its benchmark index Nifty 200 TRI has given 10.2% and 15.6% returns in the same period. In the last one year, the exposure to large-sized entities has been enhanced, which gives good stability to the scheme’s portfolio.

i) Inception / Launch date

The Scheme was launched on 3 November 2005. The Scheme is benchmarked against S&P BSE 200 TRI.

ii) Risk level

The Scheme is ideal for investors who have an appetite for moderately high risk – return investments and an investment horizon of 3-5 years.

iii) Redemption

Units can be redeemed i.e. sold back to the Mutual Fund House or switched out i.e. to another scheme of the Mutual Fund House or options offered within the Scheme. Under normal circumstances, redemption cheques are dispatched within 10 business days from the date of acceptance of the redemption request.

iv) Fund Manager

The Scheme is currently being managed by Mr. Miyush Gandhi and Mr. Krishna Sanghavi. Mr. Gandhi is an MBA and B. Com. and possesses more than 10 years of experience in financial markets and equity research. Mr. Sanghavi is B. Com, ICWA, MMS (Finance) and possesses 23 years’ experience in financial markets and fund management.

v) Entry / Exit load

1% exit load is charged if the units are redeemed within 1 year from the date of allotment of units, no exit load is charged beyond 1 year. No entry load is charged by the Fund.
