Fund Information and Statistics of ICICI Prudential Large & Mid Cap Fund
i) Inception / Launch date
The Scheme was launched on 9 July 1998 and was formerly known as ICICI Prudential Top 100 Fund. The Scheme is benchmarked against Nifty Large Midcap 250 Index.
ii) Risk level
Being an equity scheme, the scheme is moderately high risk proposition and suitable for investors looking for long term wealth creation with recommended investment horizon of 5 years or more.
The Scheme is open for repurchase/redemptions on all business days. Redemption proceeds are despatched within 10 business days from the date of the receipt of valid redemption request at the official points of acceptance.
iv) Fund Manager
The Scheme is currently being co-managed by Mr. Sankaran Naren who is managing the scheme since February 2012 (earlier managed the scheme from August 2009 to February 2011) and Mr. Prakash Gaurav Goel who is managing the scheme since October 2017.
v) Entry / Exit load
1% exit load is charged by the fund house if the units are redeemed/switched-out within 1 month from the date of the allotment. No exit load is charged if the units are redeemed/switched-out after 1 month from the date of the allotment. Entry load is not applicable for any subscriptions into the Scheme.
Tax benefits of investing in ICICI Prudential Large & Mid Cap Fund
The short-term capital gains made on sale of units within 1 year from the date of allotment are taxed at the rate of 15%. The long term capital gains, over and above Rs 1 lakh, made on sale of units after 1 year from the date of allotment are taxed at concessional rate of 10% (without indexation). Investors do not pay any tax on dividends received but a Dividend Distribution Tax (“DDT”) is deducted by the fund house at source.
