About L&T Emerging Businesses Fund

The Scheme is an open-ended scheme predominantly investing in Small Cap stocks of different entities. The investment objective of the scheme is to generate long-term capital appreciation from a diversified portfolio of predominantly equity and equity related securities, in the Indian Markets with key theme focus being emerging companies. Emerging companies are entities which are typically in the early stage of sustainable development and have the horizon to grow their revenues and profits at a higher rate as compared to broader market. The purchases are available under Regular and Direct Plan.

i) Inception / Launch date

The Scheme was launched on 13 May 2014 and benchmarked against S&P BSE Small Cap TRI Index.

ii) Risk level

a. The riskometer of the Scheme is “High” and suitable for investors who are seeking: b. Long term capital growth; c. Investment in equity and equity linked securities including equity derivatives;

iii) Redemption

Redemption proceeds are generally dispatched within 10 business days from the date of receipt of request. Exit load is charged if the redemptions are requested within 12 months of purchase beyond 15% holdings.

iv) Fund Manager

The Scheme is managed by Mr. Soumendra Nath Lahiri and Mr. Karan Desai. Mr. Lahiri is a B.Tech and PGDM (IIM Bangalore). Prior to L&T Mutual Fund he has worked with Canara Robeco AMC Co. Ltd., Emkay Investment Managers Ltd, Fortuna Capital, DSP Black Rock Investment Managers Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Desai is managing the investments in foreign securities of the Scheme since 2 Feb 2017.
