About L&T Infrastructure Fund

The Scheme is an open-ended equity scheme investing predominantly in infrastructure sector. The Scheme is benchmarked against Nifty Infrastructure TRI Index. The entities which are in business of such as cement, real estate, energy, power, metals are included in the infrastructure sector.

The scheme has invested majority in mid-cap and small-cap segments and thus maintains a good risk spread. It has provided higher returns over the period and has outperformed the industry benchmark index. In the last one year, this scheme has grown by impressive 37% approximately. The Scheme is one of the best in its sectoral category as its continued to do well over years.

Fund Information and Statistics of L&T Infrastructure Fund

i) Inception / Launch date

The Scheme was launched on 27 September 2007.

ii) Risk level

The scheme is high risk proposition as the underlying investments are concentrated in one sector and thus exposed to sectoral volatility however the risk of this scheme is comparatively lower to its benchmark.

iii) Redemption

Minimum redemption amount is Rs 500 or 50 units whichever is lower. The fund house generally dispatch the redemption proceeds within 3 business days from the date of acceptance of the redemption request.

iv) Fund Manager

The scheme is currently being managed by Mr. Soumendra Nath Lahiri who is managing the scheme since November 2012. Prior to joining the fund house, he has worked with DSP BlackRock Investment Managers and Fortuna Capital.

v) Entry / Exit load

1% exit load is charged if the units are redeemed within 1 year from the date of allotment of units, no exit load is charged beyond 1 year.

Tax Benefits of investing in L&T Infrastructure Fund

The short-term capital gains made on sale of units within 1 year from the date of allotment will be taxed at the rate of 15%. The long term capital gains, over and above Rs 1 lakh, made on sale of units after 1 year from the date of allotment will be taxable at the rate of 10% (without indexation).
