Being an open-ended equity scheme, the scheme seeks to invest its fund predominantly in the infrastructure of the companies into equity and equity related instruments. The fund aims to provide an opportunity to participate in value creation process.

This scheme is suitable for investors who are seeking for:
- The scheme gives long term appreciation.
- The primary motive of the scheme is to protect unit holder interest and NAV of the scheme so also to earn reasonable returns on liquid funds which were maintained for redemption of units.
- It will be not a problem to sell the units, it can be sell back to the fund and the money will be redeemed within few days to the unit holder.

i) Inception/ Launch date
TATA Infrastructure fund was launched on 25 November 2004 by TATA Mutual Fund.
ii) Risk level
The scheme does not guarantee or assure any returns as they are subject to high market risk. The NAV of the units under this scheme can go up and down depending on the factors affecting the capital markets.
The redemption of units can be done within 10 business days after the receipt of redemption request.
iv) Fund Manager
The fund managers of TATA Infrastructure Fund are Mr. Abhinav Sharma since 2018 and Mr. Rupesh Patel since 2014.
v) Entry / Exit load
The entry load for this investment is not applicable whereas the exit load of 0.25% is applicable if redeemed on or before expiry of 3 months or 90 days from the date of allotment.
Tax benefits of investing in TATA Infrastructure Fund
Long Term Capital Gains (“LTCG”), in excess of Rs 1 lakh, are taxed @ 10% without indexation if units held for more than 12 months. Short term capital gains (“STCG”) taxed @15% if units are held for less than 12 months. Investors do not pay any tax on dividends received but a Dividend Distribution Tax (“DDT”) is deducted by the fund house at source.
