Bharat Gas, managed by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, is one of the major LPG providers in India with a wide distribution network. To obtain a new Bharat Gas connection, customers must pay a refundable security deposit for the cylinder and regulator, along with applicable installation and equipment charges.

A double cylinder (DBC) connection provides one active cylinder and one standby, so supply is not interrupted while waiting for a refill.

The government provides LPG subsidy for eligible households to reduce the cost of LPG gas cylinders. Consumers usually pay the market price for the cylinder, and the subsidy amount is credited to their linked bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

To apply for a new Bharat Gas connection, applicants must submit a KYC form along with scanned or physical copies of the following documents.
I. KYC Application Form
II. Proof of Identity (any one)
III. Proof of Address (any one)
IV. Passport-size photograph
V. Bank account details (required for receiving LPG subsidy through the Direct Benefit Transfer scheme)
Note: If scanned copies are not available at the time of applying online, applicants can still complete the online registration and submit physical copies of the documents to the nearest Bharat Gas distributor along with the printed application form.
Customers can apply for a new Bharat Gas connection either online through the official portal or offline by visiting the nearest authorised distributor.
I. Bharat Gas Portal
Applicants can register for a new Bharat Gas LPG connection through the official eBharatGas portal. Before starting, keep scanned copies of your photograph, Proof of Identity, and Proof of Address ready (JPG or PDF, max 500 KB each).
If you do not have scanned documents at the time of applying, you can still submit the online form and hand over the physical documents to your distributor along with a printed copy of the application.
II. UMANG Portal
Alternatively, applicants can directly register for a new LPG connection on the UMANG portal.
III. National Government Services Portal
New Bharat Gas connections can also be booked through the National Government Services Portal, which redirects to the Bharat Gas portal to complete the application.
After getting a Bharat Gas new connection, customers can book LPG cylinder refills through IVRS, SMS, the mobile app, or the official online portal.
A new Bharat Gas connection requires paying refundable security deposits along with installation and service charges. The total cost may vary depending on the connection type and prevailing LPG refill price.
