The Scheme is an open-ended debt scheme predominantly investing in AA+ and above rated corporate bonds. The Scheme is benchmarked against Crisil Corporate Bond Fund Index. The Scheme seeks to generate regular income over short term period.

Kotak Corporate Bond Fund offers following features: 1. As per new SEBI regulation, corporate bond funds must invest at least 80% in highest rated corporate bonds i.e. rating AAA which makes these funds relatively lower risk option. 2. The Scheme has outperformed the benchmark and category average in 3 year horizon and 5 year horizon. 3. The Scheme has provided annualized return of 8.10% since inception. The corporate bond category has offered around 6.52% in last 3 year horizon and 7.71% in last 5 year horizon.

i) Inception / Launch date

The Scheme was launched by Kotak Mutual Fund on 21 September 2007. The Scheme was earlier known as PineBridge India Total Return Bond Fund.

ii) Risk level

Being a corporate bond fund, the scheme is moderately low risk proposition and suitable investment horizon is 3 to 5 years.

iii) Redemption

The Scheme is open for repurchase/redemptions on all business days by fund house and redemption proceeds are generally paid within 10 business days.

iv) Fund Manager

The Scheme is currently being managed by Mr. Deepak Agrawal who is managing the scheme since February 2015.

v) Entry / Exit load

No entry or exit load is charged by the fund house on subscriptions or redemptions, respectively.

Tax benefits of investing in Kotak Corporate Bond Fund

Long term capital gains are taxed at the rate of 20% after indexation (if held for 36 months or more). Short term gains are added to income and subject to short term capital gain tax as per income tax slab under the Act.

About Kotak Mutual Fund
