Who is Eligible?

Individuals who fulfil the following criteria are eligible:

  • Permanent resident of West Bengal
  • Age between 21 and 40 years at the time of application
  • Passed Madhyamik (Class 10) or equivalent examination
  • Currently unemployed
  • Must have an Aadhaar-linked personal bank account

Who is Not Eligible?

  • Residents of other states and Union Territories
  • Applicants with full-time or part-time employment in the public or private sectors. This includes anyone working in a permanent, contractual, or part-time capacity in any State or Central Government office/undertaking.
  • Individuals who have not completed Madhyamik or equivalent qualification
  • Beneficiaries of Yuvashree Arpan or Yuva Utsaha Prakalpa
  • Applicants already receiving other monthly state government financial assistance schemes
  • While scholarship recipients are allowed, individuals currently enrolled in full-time regular degree courses (who are not yet "job seekers") are sometimes flagged during physical verification if they cannot prove they are actively looking for work

Note: Scholarship beneficiaries under Aikyashree, Medhasree, Sikhasree and Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Scholarship are not excluded and can apply for Banglar Yuva Sathi.

Online Application Process

Step 1: Open the Banglar Yuva Sathi application page

Step 2: Click on ‘Register’ and verify your mobile number using OTP.

Step 3: Create a password and complete the registration process.

Step 4: Log in to the dashboard and open the ‘Application Form’ section.

Step 5: Enter personal details such as name, address, district, date of birth, family income and contact details.

Step 6: Fill in educational qualification details including Madhyamik board, passing year and marks.

Step 7: Enter Aadhaar-linked bank account details including account number and IFSC code.

Step 8: Upload scanned copies of required documents such as Aadhaar card, photograph, Madhyamik marksheet, bank passbook and other required documents.

Step 9: Review all details carefully and submit the application form.

Step 10: Save the Application Reference ID for future Banglar Yuva Sathi status check.

Offline Application Process

Step 1: Visit the nearest Banglar Yuva Sathi Duare Sarkar camp or youth services office.

Step 2: Collect the application form, self-declaration form and bank mandate form.

Step 3: Fill in all required details in the application form.

Step 4: Attach photocopies of Aadhaar card, Madhyamik documents, bank passbook and other required documents.

Step 5: Submit the completed application form at the camp or office.

Step 4: Complete OTP verification if prompted.

Banglar Yuva Sathi Payment Details & DBT Process

The Banglar Yuva Sathi scheme follows a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system for payment processing.

  • Monthly Stipend: A fixed amount of ₹1,500 is credited every month.
  • Transfer Mode: Payments are processed via the Aadhaar Payment Bridge System (APBS).
  • Launch Date: The inaugural payment cycle successfully commenced on April 1, 2026.
  • Total Benefit: A beneficiary can receive a maximum of ₹90,000 over a total tenure of five years (60 months).

Mandatory Banking Requirements

To ensure successful credit of the stipend, a beneficiary’s bank account must meet the following criteria:

  • Individual Account: The account must be held solely by the applicant. Joint accounts are not eligible for DBT under this scheme.
  • Aadhaar Seeding: The bank account must be actively linked and seeded with the applicant’s Aadhaar in the NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) mapper.
  • KYC Status: The account must be active with completed KYC. If an account is dormant or inactive, the DBT payment will automatically fail.

Note: 

  • Beneficiaries must self-declare employment status after securing a job.
  • Annual verification of unemployment status is mandatory.
  • Maximum financial benefit under the scheme is ₹90,000 over five years.
