The Finance Ministry has put 8 set of rules related to GST in the public domain and asked for opinions from industries and end consumers. The first four rules pertain to GST Valuation, GST Composition, GST Transition and GST ITC. These rules were tentatively approved by the GST Council on its March 31st meeting, and are now under scrutiny by industry leaders.
Along with these, four set of rules pertaining to GST Payment, GST Invoice, GST Refund and GST Registration have also been revealed by the Central Board of excise and Customs. These rules have already been approved by the GST Council. The final rules on GST filing have not yet been made public however.
