Fishing Falcons was incorporated in 1985 as a pvt ltd company and in 1990 it was converted into a public limited Company. It was promoted by Shanker Mani with the main objective of carrying on business of deep sea fishing and to operate foreign fishing vessels, to store and preserve sea foods and processed marine products. It is the first Indian company to enter Tuna long liner fishing on high seas. The Hyderabad-based company has acquired two international standard South Korean built 54 meter Tuna long liner fishing vessels with a fish hold capacity of 375 mt each, for its operation in Indian Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and in international waters. Recently the company expanded its fleet by inducting a third vessel named Vaishnavi-111. The products of the company mainly comprises of tuna, bill fishes, sharks yellowfin, skip jack, sword fish, and marlins. These products are exported to Japan, South East Asia, West Europe and America as forzen products and for raw consumption. It has tied up with a South Korean company for technical collaboration in fishing vessel operations and marine product trades besides this the Korean company has participated in the Equity of the company accounting up to 27%, and also entered into a buy-back agreement for an initial period of ten years with the company.
