Shri Ram Switchgears Limited was incorporated in Madhya Pradesh, as 'Shri Ram Switchgears Private Limited', under the provisions of the companies Act, 1956 vide certificate of incorporation dated September 6, 1985. Subsequently, the name of the company was changed to 'Shri Ram Switchgears Limited', pursuant to conversion into a Public Limited Company, vide shareholders approval dated December 14, 2016, and a fresh certification of incorporation dated January 3, 2017. The company is engaged in manufacturing of Transformers, Distribution boxes, Switchgears, Junction Boxes, Feeder Pillars, Panels, Low Tension/High Tension line material and other electrical products required in power distribution system utilities. The company also undertakes turnkey projects including erection, installation, operation, and maintenance services of power transmission lines. The company has executed its first major order worth Rs. 2. 12 Crores from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, for supplying Distribution boxes in the year 1994. Later in the year 1999, the company has included Transformers in the manufacturing portfolio.
