Incorporated on 13 Aug. '93 as Mafatlal Lubricants, Motul Mafatlal Lubricants got its present name in 1994. It was promoted by Shanudeep, a constituent of the Stanrose group. The company manufactures automotive and industrial lubricants. The company has a technical and financial collaboration with Motul, France. Motul holds a 30% stake in the company. It came out with a public issue in Nov. '94 to part-finance the project to manufacture high-grade automotive and industrial lubricants, hydraulic brake fluids, radiator coolants and certain allied products such as metal working lubricants and temporary corrosion preventives with an installed capacity of 15,000 klpa.
