Promoted by S Vijay Bhaskar in Jan. '85, Weldflux India (WIL) manufactures hi-tech welding consumables, which are basically import substitutes and also have export potential. Its welding consumable products are submerged arc welding fluxes, and continuous electrodes used in submerged arc welding, TIG welding, MIG welding, etc. WIL went public in Mar. '92 to part-finance a plant to manufacture submerged arc welding fluxes at Nemarigomia, AP, in technical collaboration with Trefileries Et Ateliers De Commercy, France. WIL's welding equipment and machinery division manufactures welding transformers, working generators, engine-driven welding generators, etc. It also manufactures gas welding and cutting equipment. WIL undertakes project construction and consultancy, right from concept to commissioning.
