Introduction to National Institute of Securities Market
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) established a public trust and certification program in the form of National Institute of Securities Market (NISM) in the year 2006. This institute has six schools of excellence which work together towards creating a professionalised securities market and enhancing the quality standards in the securities market.
The National Institute of Securities Market or NISM carries many activities at different levels and has been expanding these activities both domestically and globally. This has ensured that the National Institute of Securities Market or NISM will eventually achieve a leading position globally both in the fields of knowledge and finance markets.
The NISM has a huge campus of about 72 acres which has an artistic and grand infrastructure. This picture perfect campus has a finance library, IT infrastructure, highly equipped and functional classrooms, conference hall, seminar hall, etc. This grand campus of the National Institute of Securities Market or NISM offers both residential academic programs as well as short term training programs to students along with faculty development programs for the teachers.

The National Institute of Securities Market or NISM has six schools of excellence which work together with an aim of creating a more professionalized securities market and improving or enhancing the quality standards of the securities market.
These six schools of excellence are School for Securities Education (SSE), School for Certification of Intermediaries (SCI), School or Regulatory Studies and Supervision (SRSS), School for Investor Education and Financial Literacy (SIEFL), School for Corporate Governance (SCG) and School for Securities Information and Research (SSIR).
